The Penthouse Suite at The Grand Hotel York
Earlier this month I was invited to attend a swanky launch party at The Grand Hotel York. The event was to celebrate the hotel’s new outdoor terrace, and the very timely Yorkshire Day! So me and a few colleagues trotted over to The Grand Hotel York and we’re greeted with a well-deserved glass of champagne. The terrace was immaculate and perfectly secluded – a great spot for sipping a cool drink with friends on a summers evening (as we soon found out).
Being folk in the travel industry and all, we were treated to a grand tour of the hotel, which included a sneak peak around the gorgeous penthouse suite. Slept in by royalty, A-listers and a few of the nation’s sweethearts, the celeb stalker in me got a little excited. The suite was so stunning, I simply had to share my snaps with you all. Enjoy!
This suite had just one bed in it, but it was huge – and it was super king size! The sumptuous bedding made it look fit for royalty (quite right too!)

The biggest bathroom I had ever seen! This feature bath tub was at one end of it. The other had a wet room with duel shower heads and the whole room as adorned in Molton Brown products.

Sofa for two? I loved the plush silk corner sofa in the penthouse suite
The living area was so spacious with gorgeous decor and absolutely stunning views across York city centre.
The Whisky Room at the Cedar Court Grand York
The Terrace launch event was topped off with a celebratory glass of champagne (or three) and a delicious BBQ put on by the Grand head chefs. I had a burger and it was to die for!
