1. Angels Tea Rooms – Babbacombe
49 Babbacombe Downs Road, Torquay TQ1 3LP England
Angels Tea Rooms is a small (but delicious) tea room overlooking the Babbacombe Downs. They serve a variety of afternoon teas, as well as sandwiches, breakfasts and other hot foods.
The beautiful “Angelic Half Tea” costs £17.95 and includes one sandwich, one homemade scone of your choice with jam, one slice of cinnamon toast, one cake and a pot of loose leaf tea. This might not sound like a lot of food but please trust me when I say, this is more than enough and you will likely need to take home a doggy bag.
Some of the scone choices include plain, fruit, cheese, white chocolate, dark chocolate, cherry, dairy free and gluten free. With such an extensive choice, you will definitely find something to suit your taste and dietary requirements.

2. The Ivy – Exeter
65-67 High St, Exeter EX4 3DT
The Ivy is a floral Art Deco dream of a restaurant. While this is the priciest spot on the list, any meal here feels truly decadent. Currently on offer at The Ivy is their autumnal afternoon tea priced at £33.50 per person or £43.50 for a sparkling tea. Their teas include the classic finger sandwiches, scones and sweet treats including cupcakes and choux buns.
The Ivy change their afternoon tea menu with the seasons and have also offered themed teas such as a chocolate tea. They even had a particularly special British tea to celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee.

Boringdon Hall is a 16th century grade I listed manor house in Plymouth. So your cake comes with a side of history. Boringdon do fabulous themed teas throughout the year. Not only is the food beautiful but getting to enjoy it in such a grand setting makes it feel even more special.
