My 2022 travels so far

I’m so excited to share our 2022 plans so far. I know life is still unpredictable and Covid continues to throw curveballs, but it feels amazing to have some solid plans in the diary. The Travelista who actually travels is BACK…

February – Abu Dhabi

Kicking off with a big one! I’m so excited to be working with Visit Abu Dhabi to show you all the highlights and hidden gems of Abu Dhabi including a stay in the desert at the spectacular boutique desert resort Telal Resort, Al Ain. This will be my first long haul adventure since becoming a Mum and the start of the pandemic so it’s a really big deal for me.

My OG blog readers or followers will know that I used to travel long haul at the drop of a hat, often with a weeks notice, but life has changed for me so much since then. The fact I am working with a global tourism board again and traveling to a new and exciting long haul destination feels like I have truly come full circle with The Travelista and I am excited to be able to share and create this type of travel content for you all again. March – Limassol, Cyprus

This will be our first family holiday of the year and Theo’s second holiday abroad. Theo has a current obsession with airplanes and I already can’t wait to see his face when we get to board the plane. We’ll be staying at Columbia Beach Resort which is part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World and within the Jet2Holidays Indulgent Escapes collection. Whilst being a beach-front 5 star hotel with stylish interiors and great facilities, I chose for us to stay at Columbia Beach Resort because it seems to be extremely family friendly. There is a kid’s club and shallow kids pool which I know Theo will love. Very excited for this one! This is a press trip with Jet2Holidays.

April – Top secret location, Europe

A 2 night hen do for my fabulous friend. That’s all I can say 🙂

May – Lake District, UK

Our second family adventure is a UK mini break to the Lake District, a place that has a special place in my heart. My best friend lives in the Lake District and as part of the trip we will be visiting her and meeting her new baby who is due in March. This trip involves a unique glamping experience at Howbeck Lodge Farm, which is one of the many Feather Down Farms around the UK. Think beautiful glamping pods with pizza ovens, heating, electricity and en suite showers! Press trip.

September – Almuñécar, Spain

We plan to extend our summer with a return to our favourite place in Spain, a year on after getting engaged there in September 2021. Almuñécar is an authentically Spanish town on the Costa Tropical, approximately one hour’s drive from Malaga. I have visited Almuñécar many times before and have written lots of blogs about it. I can’t explain how much it means to me to be working with tourism boards and travel brands again because this is where my passion truly lies. Mentally and physically, I’m so ready to do what I love again, share my experiences (both independently and as a family) and hopefully inspire your own travels in the process.
