Retail Therapy at Junction 32 Yorkshire Outlet Shopping

28/06/21 ᛫ Add a Comment

During the pandemic I became pretty used to doing all my shopping online but visiting Junction 32 for the first time in May made me remember how enjoyable it is to go shopping in real life. The phrase ‘retail therapy’ has never been more fitting! Junction 32 is an outlet shopping centre located in Castleford, West Yorkshire, UK. It has over 80 fantastic brands all offering up to 60% off every day.

This blog post has been sponsored by Junction 32 Yorkshire Outlet Shopping. All views are my own.

Introducing Junction 32

From fashion and sportswear to homeware, beauty and accessories, I have been really impressed by the variety of shops all in one place. Big brands including Adidas, Next, M&S, Nike, Clarks, New Balance, The Body Shop and Levi’s all call Junction 32 home. Think premium brands for great value outlet prices. There’s also some great food and drink offerings including Starbucks and Costa, as well as a huge selection of additional restaurants over the road at Xscape Castleford (including Nando’s, Ask Italian, TGI Fridays and Pizza Express).

My Retail Therapy at Junction 32

I returned to Junction 32 this June for some solo retail therapy. I have always enjoyed shopping on my own the most as it means I can browse slowly and take my time. I had been told there was a sample sale going on at the Adidas shop, so I headed straight for it. My shopping trip got off to a flying start as I was able to pick up two Adidas jackets for only £22.95 each in the sample sale. I was absolutely amazed at the price! I also bought myself an Adidas women’s sports top for only £6.95 and left feeling very pleased with myself.

Staying in sportswear, I next visited the Nike shop in search of some similar bargains. I am currently going through physio for my knee surgery and have wanted to treat myself to some new trainers for a while. I went for some Nike Air Zoom Pegasus trainers in white which were reduced to £72.95 from around £120 (!).

Next I popped into the beautiful Radley London shop to browse purses, I then stumbled across the Yankee Candle shop where I bought one of their large candles in Midnight Jasmine. It smells absolutely incredible and transports me to a balmy summer’s evening in Greece or somewhere else on the Med!

I also stopped off at the Beauty Outlet and managed to find my favourite fake tan (Bondi Sands) and shampoo and conditioner (Dumb Blonde from Bedhead by TIGI) for way under RRP.

The Verdict

Shopping at Junction 32 feels like a really relaxing, easy and premium experience. The parking is free, and the shops don’t feel crowded at all. It's also really child-friendly as there is a brilliant outdoor playground for little ones to let off steam in between shops. As the centre is outdoors, during these Covid times it certainly feels safer ‘open-air’ shopping, and donning a mask in the shops.

I am really enjoying getting to know Junction 32 more and exploring all of the great brands and shops. I will definitely be returning again in the near future!

The story behind the reel: last weekend we visited The story behind the reel: last weekend we visited the little coastal town of Staithes on the North Yorkshire coast. It was cold, windy, raining and then hail stones came down when we reached the harbour. Things weren’t going so well, until we stumbled across @cod_and_lobster_official and spontaneously ran in for shelter.

We entered a cosy little haven, with a lit fire and hot coffee. We hid from the cold and by the time we left, the skies had changed and sun was breaking through the clouds. Perfect timing to climb up the hill to the iconic Staithes view point. We couldn’t have asked for more. ✨

Be sure to add Staithes to your list if you ever come to North Yorkshire, and check out my previous reel for an ideal base to explore 🌿
