6 Spring Accessories for The Stylish Traveller

13/04/17 ᛫ 13 Comments

Spring is here and it’s the perfect time of year to revamp your wardrobe. My winter essentials have been demoted to the back of the wardrobe and I’ve recently got my hands on a few new pieces which I think are perfect for the stylish traveller. All of these items I own and love, so I wanted to share them in a little round up. Here are 6 of my favourite spring accessories for the stylish traveller.

  1. The ‘On The Go’ Bag by Folli Follie

I fell in love with the On The Go bag from Folli Follie when I did a shoot with the brand a couple of weeks ago. We shot with the cream version of the bag, but when I was in the store I noticed they did the bag in powder blue and fell in love with it. The team at Folli Follie very kindly sent me the bag a week later as a thank you for taking part in the shoot. It’s the perfect bag for the stylish traveller for more reasons than one.

Firstly, it’s actually 3 bags in one which you can carry all at the same time. There is a small detachable purse which sits in the front pouch of the handbag. This would be ideal for your travel documents in the airport and it also doubles up as a stylish clutch bag for the evenings. Then inside the main bag there is a smaller soft leather bag which is detatchable with attachable shoulder straps. If you’re doing something a bit more active on your trip, you can switch into the shoulder bag to go hands free. I also love that it’s large enough to fit my laptop in when I’m going through the airport. Functional as well as beautiful! Price £175. Buy Me Here

  1. Floral Embroidered Backpack from Accessorize

I love backpacks, especially when they’re of the stylish leather variety. They’re perfect for city breaks as I like to take lots of equipment around with me and keep my hands free for taking photos. Accessorize have some gorgeous backpacks in at the moment and they’ve added this embroidered backpack to their new season collection. Adding this backpack to the simplest of outfits would give a fresh Springtime look. I took this backpack to Amsterdam with me and haven’t stopped using it since. Price £35. Buy Me Here

  1. Limited Edition Antler Suitcase

The newest addition to my suitcase family is the Antler Prism suitcase in cabin baggage size. I was lucky enough to snap up a limited edition case in Rose Gold. This colour seems pretty hard to come by now, but it’s still available in quite a few different colours. I love hard shell cases and the built in lock is great for security. The case comes with a 10 year lifetime guarantee too, so you know what you’re buying is quality. But besides all that, it’s a very cool case to rock up to the airport with. Price £129. Buy Me Here

  1. MyTagalone Eye Mask

You know when someone absolutely nails your secret santa gift? Well that’s exactly what my cousin did last year. She got me a contoured eye mask from My Tagalongs, a cool travel accessory brand which I hadn’t heard of ’til I received this gift. I love eye masks and never travel without one. I’ve owned plenty of them in the past, but what I love about this eye mask is that it doesn’t squash your eyes or eyelashes. The contoured section gives your eyes space so you don’t wake up after your snooze with smudged make up and crumbling mascara. The masks come in 4 candy colours. Price $10. Buy Me Here

  1. Zippable Travel Wallet in Rose Gold

Whenever I travel I always transfer the essentials from my larger leather purse into a small lightweight wallet. I leave behind all the cards I don’t need so that I can travel lighter than usual. I’ve recently been using this zippable travel wallet from Accessorize. It has a card holder section and also a small zip section for your  cash and coins. Great for your travels or as an Oyster Card holder. I love the iridescent rose gold shimmer too. Price £10. Buy Me Here

  1. Sudio Sweden Wireless Headphones

Headphones have evolved, and now wires are a thing of the past! I didn’t realise how useful wireless headphones could be until I received this beautifully designed set from Swedish brand Sudio Sweden. The Vasa Bla headphones come with a leather holder and rose gold edging. The ear buds are connected by one stretch of wire which sits behind your neck. The sound quality is amazing and the look is uber luxe. I love travelling with them but they’re also great in the gym too. Price £80. Get 15% off Sudio Sweden Headphones with code ‘Travelista 15’. The white floral backpack looks so cute + functional! I just got myself similar white sneakers, so it might go well with them!

I had too many words about 2022 for a caption, so I’ve put them all into a blog post.

My “2022 year in review” is live on The Travelista. It’s a longer, personal blog post about lessons, learnings, achievements and travels from year just gone, as well as my hopes and goals for 2023. I’ve put a link on stories for anyone interested. 😊

Wishing you a healthy, happy, adventure-filled New Year ✨

Whether you’re new here or you’ve followed my journey for years, thank you so much for being here, for every like, comment and share. It is this amazing, supportive and loyal community that has enabled me to quit my job this year and return to doing this full time again post Covid.

Merry Christmas from my family to yours ♥️.
Before I sign off for a little Christmas social me Before I sign off for a little Christmas social media break, here’s a festive photo dump of the past week + sharing my favourite poem🕯🎄🥂

Featuring

➕ A lunch to @bettys with the girls. Making a new tradition.
➕ A family visit to @castle_howard for their spectacular #IntotheWoods Christmas experience. Phenomenal. We go every year and it just gets better and better.
➕ Carols by candlelight at our local church - magic - but so many layers because the heating was broken!
➕ Dust if you Must by Rose Milligan. The perfect tonic in the (potentially stressful) build up to Christmas.

We are hosting family this year and I’m excited! I’d love my house to look like a festive show home but it doesn’t, and that’s ok. (I have a 4 year old making mess twice as fast as I can tidy it).

Fellow hosts, don’t be so busy ‘dusting’ that you miss all the little moments of magic! I’m reminding myself of this too. Swipe to read the poem and you’ll get it. ♥️

Wishing you a perfectly imperfect Christmas 🎄

ad Come with me and my Mum to do some last minute ad Come with me and my Mum to do some last minute Christmas shopping at @junction32. 🎁

We are all feeling the pinch this year with the rising cost of living, so I set myself a challenge to find gifts for under £30. By shopping at outlets like Junction 32, which has over 80 brands offering up to 60% off the retail price, your money truly does go so much further. ♥️

What gifts I bought;

✔️ Slippers from @radleylondon RRP £40 J32 Price £20
✔️Himalayam charcoal gift set from @thebodyshop RRP £36.00 J32 Price £29.50
✔️Wax cheese wheels from independent retailer @themousehouse_lincoln £3 for £16
✔️Children’s cutlery set from @procookuk RRP £10 J32 Price £7

As usual J32 had some brilliant items on offer and a huge amount of choice, even this far into December.

Have you got any last minute Christmas shopping to do? I think I am finally done! 🛍
