Introducing The Antler Juno Suitcase

22/11/13 ᛫ Add a Comment

Some things in life are just fate, and when it comes to travel, I very much believe in fate. It was only last week I tweeted about being sad all my 2013 travel plans had come to an end when low and behold, something landed on my doorstep that worsened my itchy feet even MORE. The object in question is this gorgeous white Juno Antler suitcase that makes me throw all my belongings into it and jet off into the sunset for good. (I probably could you know, it’s big enough).

Fate dealt me another funny card when an invite landed in my inbox for a blogger trip to Kerala in India next year. A perfect excuse to test out my new new suitcase I thought. Whilst I haven’t had chance to use it yet, these are just a few reasons why I LOVE my new suitcase.

1. Its white!

OK I know what you’re thinking. White isn’t the most practical colour for a suitcase. But don’t get all mumsy on me – not everything in life needs to scream practicality. People attach all sorts of bizarre objects to their luggage on the airport baggage carousels. There’s a pretty high chance my case will be the ONLY white one in the crowd, meaning I no longer have to wrestle 50 year old men for a generic black wheelie suitcase they so adamantly think is theirs. Fabulous! Plus – it means a greater level of security and peace of mind. (see, there is method to my madness)

2. It has curves

We all know curves are IN, and this suitcase is certainly rockin’ what it’s momma gave it. The hard outer shell has a unique curved design on either side which is bang on trend. Great for all you fashionistas out there.

 3. It moves like Jagger

Well it doesn’t actually, but it has those handy rotational wheels that means you can turn the case 360 degrees. Great for when you’re attempting the London underground slalom or landing in a busy airport. I can’t wait to take it out for a spin!

4. It has a built in padlock for security

Alright then, enough of the aesthetics. As well as being damn good-looking, I like that this suitcase has a built in padlock. I’m forever loosing the mini keys for my padlocks when I lock up my suitcases and now I’ll be safe in the knowledge that I can enjoy keyless travels. One less thing to worry about!

5. It comes with a 10 year warranty

Retailing at £129, it’s not the cheapest bit of luggage on the market, but it has a 10-year warranty! This means I will have this fully functioning suitcase from now until I’m 33 years old (wow that makes me feel old). I’ve had my fair share of bad quality suitcases over the years and they always end up breaking when you need them most e.g en route to the airport, during your travels, just before a romantic ‘Love Actually’ airport reunion – you get the picture.

6. It’s made by Antler

To top it all off, this suitcase is made by the luxury luggage company Antler. Their brand name is a hallmark of quality in itself and I’ve always coveted their luggage products. Now I am the proud owner of one, I can’t to take it on my travels with me.  Plus, it’s a great excuse for me to book a nice long trip away. Hawaii anyone?

Enjoyed your review on the Juno which seems to have started a new trend in white luggage, Antler are also launching the Jupiter very soon (that’s in Australia, you might already have it in the UK).

One extra thing I wanted to add to your readers is that the Juno has a mottled effect which you can see if you look closely at the middle 2 pics, this means that the inevitable scratches that your luggage gains during transit will hardly show up and will just blend into the effect. This has always been a problem with hard suitcases especially shiny ones, so the Juno is perfect if you want to keep your suitcase looking new for longer.

We also reviewed the Juno recently, please take a look here:

Looking forward to reading more from your blog, it looks great.

A little too OTT for my usual airport style, but if it will get me a free upgrade, it’s definitely worth a go!

Hello 2023! 🤍 A clean page, a fresh start. I h Hello 2023! 🤍 A clean page, a fresh start.

I had too many words about 2022 for a caption, so I’ve put them all into a blog post.

My “2022 year in review” is live on The Travelista. It’s a longer, personal blog post about lessons, learnings, achievements and travels from year just gone, as well as my hopes and goals for 2023. I’ve put a link on stories for anyone interested. 😊

Whether you’re new here or you’ve followed my journey for years, thank you so much for being here, for every like, comment and share. It is this amazing, supportive and loyal community that has enabled me to quit my job this year and return to doing this full time again post Covid.

A little snapshot into our Christmas, the first on A little snapshot into our Christmas, the first one in our new home, blending our families and hosting for 9. ☺️🥂 Hope you all had a lovely day 🎄

Merry Christmas from my family to yours ♥️.
Before I sign off for a little Christmas social me Before I sign off for a little Christmas social media break, here’s a festive photo dump of the past week + sharing my favourite poem🕯🎄🥂

Featuring

➕ A lunch to @bettys with the girls. Making a new tradition.
➕ A family visit to @castle_howard for their spectacular #IntotheWoods Christmas experience. Phenomenal. We go every year and it just gets better and better.
➕ Carols by candlelight at our local church - magic - but so many layers because the heating was broken!
➕ Dust if you Must by Rose Milligan. The perfect tonic in the (potentially stressful) build up to Christmas.

We are hosting family this year and I’m excited! I’d love my house to look like a festive show home but it doesn’t, and that’s ok. (I have a 4 year old making mess twice as fast as I can tidy it).

Fellow hosts, don’t be so busy ‘dusting’ that you miss all the little moments of magic! I’m reminding myself of this too. Swipe to read the poem and you’ll get it. ♥️

Wishing you a perfectly imperfect Christmas 🎄

ad Come with me and my Mum to do some last minute ad Come with me and my Mum to do some last minute Christmas shopping at @junction32. 🎁

We are all feeling the pinch this year with the rising cost of living, so I set myself a challenge to find gifts for under £30. By shopping at outlets like Junction 32, which has over 80 brands offering up to 60% off the retail price, your money truly does go so much further. ♥️

What gifts I bought;

✔️ Slippers from @radleylondon RRP £40 J32 Price £20
✔️Himalayam charcoal gift set from @thebodyshop RRP £36.00 J32 Price £29.50
✔️Wax cheese wheels from independent retailer @themousehouse_lincoln £3 for £16
✔️Children’s cutlery set from @procookuk RRP £10 J32 Price £7

As usual J32 had some brilliant items on offer and a huge amount of choice, even this far into December.

Have you got any last minute Christmas shopping to do? I think I am finally done! 🛍
