2. Follow me @travelistajess on Twitter
Once you’ve entered with a comment and followed me on Twitter, you can also email your photo to me at jessicagibson@live.co.uk if you’d like it to appear in my Photography Hall of Fame blog post at the end of October.
Fair’s fair, so if you’re showing me yours I’ll show you mine! Above is my all time favourite travel photo which I took on the beach at LUX* Resort in La Reunion. I remember exactly how I felt the moment I took it. It was one of those ‘pinch me’ moments. I sat alone under a tree and watched the most spectacular dusky pink sunset I had ever seen. It was taken at the perfect moment when the whole sea was glowing pink. You can read more about my trip to LUX* in La Reunion here.
REVIEW
Just to make sure I was offering out a top notch prize, PhotoBox allowed me to test out their services first. I chose to spend some credit on blowing up my favourite sunset photo onto a canvas print. I have just moved into a new flat so decided it was the perfect option to get some colour onto my walls.
The PhotoBox website is friendly, functional and easy to navigate. Within 5 minutes I had selected my canvas type and size (I went for a 61×40.6 Classic Print canvas worth £64.99). My chosen photo was taken with a standard digital camera, so I was a bit worried whether it would be good enough quality to blow up onto a canvas.
Luckily the Photobox website had a cute smiley face indicator to let you know if the pixels of your photo are high enough for your chosen canvas size. The smileys range from sad (red), average (amber) and good (green). I actually got the amber smiley when I loaded my photo, but I didn’t mind as I really wanted to use that specific photo.
I was amazed when my canvas arrived just 2 days after I had ordered it in a well packaged box. To say I had the amber smiley, I was really impressed with the quality and definition of the print. I would definitely PhotoBox again and I’m thinking of putting together a photography scrapbook next! It’s also on my radar as a go-to site for personalized gifts.
What do you think of my photo? Are you a fan of PhotoBox? Make sure you get involved in my first giveaway by leaving me a comment and you could bag yourself the £40 PhotoBox credit!
*I am running this giveaway from Monday 30th September to Friday 18th October and will pick the winner at random using a random number generator. I will announce the winner on my blog and on Twitter on Friday 18th October*
This is a photo from Hanauma Bay, Oahu on my second trip to Hawaii – this is my idea of paradise. A beautiful bay. A teddy bear doesn’t need much!

Mine has to be between two pictures – a picture of Exuma Cay in the Bahamas – beautiful blue sea surrounded by lovely islands – my first trip abroad on my own – an amazing holiday. The other is of zebras at a water hole in Tsavo, Kenya – the black and white of the zebras contrasting with the bright orange Kenyan soil – awesome 🙂
Incredible stories Sarah! Thank you for entering the giveaway. I’d absolutely love to visit Kenya, I’m sure you’d recommend it? Can you past some links to the images?
Thanks! Jess x
LOVE the canvas Jess! Its nice to know that it is one of a kind! Great blog!! x
My favorite travel photo is from my recent trip to Nice (I’ve also emailed it to you). It’s a shot of nearly 1500 triathletes about to jump into the Mediterranean for the first leg of the race. It was an early morning and one of the more unique shots of the Cote d’Azur I’m sure.

It was taken while I was learning to dive in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. When I was younger learning to dive in the Reed was something I’d always said I would do when I ‘grew up’ and two years ago I’d saved enough and found a great travel buddy to go with me!
Good luck at Cosmo Blog Awards this week! x
Wow that it a fantastic shot!
I am based in Singapore and I had a chance to go for a holiday to Hongkong and Macau. Believe me it’s an amazing place you must visit
